On National Heroes Day, PTDI Ferry Flight (Again) NC212i Ordered By Thailand

Coinciding with Heroes' Day, PTDI re-exported the ferry flight 1 (one) NC-212i aircraft for the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) of Thailand from PT DI's Hangar Delivery Center to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, planned to arrive on November 11, 2019.

The NC212i aircraft delivered today completes the procurement contract for 2 (two) NC-212i aircraft between PTDI and A.I.C.E. Enterprises (Thai) Co., Ltd. with end user Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, MOAC Thailand.

The first NC-212i airplane was carried out by ferry flight on October 22, 2019. And today the second NC-212i airplane ferry flight was returned, which was delivered more quickly a month so the schedule was according to the contract, December 2019. So that the total of 2 NC- 212i has been sent to the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) of Thailand.

Quoted from PT DI's press release, it was mentioned Capt. Zulda Hendra as Pilot In Command and Capt. Billy Yudha Firmansyah as a Copilot flew NC-212i from Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung to Hang Nadim Airport, Batam, and continued to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, as the final destination.

The NC212i will carry out Final Acceptance by the Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, MOAC Thailand, on November 12, 2019.

Although lined up for civilian operators, this NC-212i Thai order can be used as passenger transport, VIP, cargo, rain making, troop / paratroop transport and medical evacuation.

The domestic operators using NC-212 series aircraft are the Indonesian Air Force, the Army, Navy, Police, BPPT, where the NC-212 series aircraft are used for civil, military and Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) transport aircraft. While foreign operators are Thailand for military transport and weather modification (rain making), the Philippines and Vietnam for military transport aircraft.

The NC-212i aircraft needs of the world for the next 10 years that is 255 units. PT DI's future expansion plans are in the Asia Pacific and Africa. PT DI will increase the production capacity of NC-212i aircraft which were originally 4 aircraft per year, to 6 aircraft per year, which will begin next year to meet the NC-212i target needs for the next 10 years.
